A five-day seminar of the first oral interdisciplinary occlusion reconstructive class (module A) was a complete success on 15th of December. Ms.Wang Hong, the General Manager of Focus Group has made the conclusion presentation for this seminar. She has praised the 5 days hard study to everyone and introduced the 10 years’ efforts of Focus Group ; it helps students to find out the way and idea to solve difficult problems and presents them to everyone under mature conditions in every aspect; she also reemphasized the importance of occlusion in oral medical care and the spirit of continuously study when facing difficulties.
The First Oral Occlusion Interdisciplinary reconstructive Class was held by Focus Group and Vienna School of interdisciplinary Dentistry -The Slavicek Foundation from Austria. The seminar has a strong innovation and development in clinical technical and theory of large area repair in oral; abnormal occlusion; malocclusion; local /whole occlusion without teeth ;dysfunction or abrasion; occlusion interferences; TMJ problems; facial asymmetry; Comprehensive diagnosis and analyze before implant. More than twenty medical institutions participate the conference such as: Peking University School of Stomatology, Shanghai Ninth People’s Hospital Affiliated Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medical ,Beijing Stomatology Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, Chinese PLA General Hospital Medical School of Chinese PLA, Beijing Arrail Dental Clinic, Shanxi Dental Hospital, Stomatology Hospital of Shandong University, Yantai Stomatology Hospital, and so on.
Prof. Markus Greven, Dr. Alain Landry and Dr. Anastasia Saltykova who were be invited from Austria owned years of clinical experience and profound academic research and they performed a feast of dental medical treatment for all participants. A teaching method of theoretical and hand-on combine with the western mode and interaction was adopted. It made the doctors to master the teaching content in a relaxed and tense atmosphere.
During the seminar, Implementation of the small section and questioning interactive teaching were adopted. Doctors brought their technicians and typical patients to analyze and design the treatment project together on class with the entire Chinese translation . The seminar has four modules of A,B,C and D, and was held in different places of China during one year. Each module has 5 days with hand-on . Doctors can master more knowledge with maximum efficiency during limited time. Module A was from 11th to 15th of December.
The seminar was widely welcomed by doctors. Liu Yi, the orthodontics expert from Peking University School of Stomatology, said this seminar can helps doctors to avoid mistakes, establish better idea and learn lots of new knowledge in occlusion. Zhou Chongyang, joint expert from Peking University School of Stomatology, said this study helps them to open up their ideas, and makes them more clear in muscle check and joint evaluation. Yuan Shuangbin, the principal from Shanxi Dental Hospital who holds teaching task in occlusion said , We are all beginners in occlusion and the workers including prosthodontics, implant, orthodontics who contacts occlusion in early among us needs to go through deep rethink in their mind, never stop learning and apply to our practice.
